Another week, another post

It was a long week last week. Our speaker spoke about "Hearing the Voice of God". It was a very intense, draining week, but so good. God did a lot in all of us. Our beliefs have been stretched and our faith has certainly grown.

We also had some time to spend with the teams that we'll be going on outreach with. I'm SO excited about my team and to see how God is going to use each of our different personalities and talents to do His work where we're going. I so wish I could say more; maybe I'll send you all a letter in the near future :)

This week, our speaker is teaching about "Inductive Bible Study", which is basically dissecting the Word and applying it. We had our first lecture this morning and we will be having another one this evening. Honestly, I feel like I've already learned a lot of this stuff and have already been using it for a long time. I'd really appreciate your prayers that I wouldn't be shut off to anything God wants to show me through this week just because I THINK I know it all already. LORD knows how little I know...literally!

In terms of other random stuff:

The people here are AWESOME! In terms of the girls I'm living with (18 girls on 6 3-story bunks...I'm on a top one!), we have 1-Tennessee, 2-Norway, 1-Washington, 1-New Hampshire, 1-Virginia (from right near JMU!!!???!!! CRAZY!), 2-California, 4-Canada, 1-Sweden, 1-Texas, 1-Switzerland, 2-Pennsylvania. For 18 girls in one room, we're all getting along really well. It's pretty sweet.

There are a handful of girls that God has really blessed me with getting to know better and it has been so cool to see some cool things coming from it.

I guess that's some of the random info for now, but I'll get more to you soon! Hope everyone everywhere is doing well :)

Hey, everybody!

Well, we've made it back from the wilderness. It was quite an interesting time! It was really awesome, though, because each evening we shared testimonies which just brought us all closer. We headed back yesterday and went to a church where we were greeted by the YWAM staff and students from another school (School of Biblical Foundations and Missions). We had an AMAZING dinner and then an even more amazing time before the LORD.

Today, we started school. We had our first lecture this morning where our school leader, Will, talked about the heart of why we are here: Because of what Jesus did for us and all that entails. After a break, we returned to find out...our outreach locations!!!!! What you've all been waiting for has finally arrived! Now, I need your prayers.

We have been given the options of three locations: Bangladesh, China, and Indonesia/Borneo. Please pray that God would continue to confirm where I believe He wants me to go. I'm SO excited about this opportunity and I know I'll ultimately end up where God wants me to go. Tomorrow, by the time you're having your mid-afternoon coffee and the kids are returning from school, I will have to turn in my list. Thank you in advance for all your prayer support so far and I'm so excited that I've finally gotten to this point!

Into the wilderness

Hey, all!

Just wanted to give you a quick update:

I've been in Maui for a couple days now and it's GREAT! It was a rough adjustment at first, but God has proved so faithful time and time again in establishing great relationships and making this feel like a home.

Tonight was the opening ceremony at which they welcomed us all to the base, with leis and great food. They also gave us a packing list. Apparently...we're going to be venturing out into the wild for a few days. It's kind of crazy, but I'm excited. Nothing like being out in the wilderness with a bunch of people you hardly know! It's going to be a really great time of continuing to establish and grow relationships.

Please pray for an amazing time for all of us and that God would just use the time to work on our hearts individually and as a group.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank 1. God for what He has done and 2. my church, friends, and family for the support they have given me. As I have been preparing to go to the YWAM DTS, God has been so faithful in preparing me spiritually, financially, and many other ways. Also, the people God has placed in my life have been so faithful in their prayers and financial giving. I cannot express how thankful I am for both of these means of support!

Please continue to pray for wisdom, strength, and discernment, especially over the next couple weeks as I shift from home-life to DTS-life. I will be leaving in exactly one week!!! I know that God will continue His preparation of this jar of clay every moment of every day until I set foot on the base in Maui. On the other side, as my Pastor reminded me today, as God continues to do more in me, there will be more opposition from the enemy. More than anything, I want to be able to resist the lies that are thrown at me as I learn and grow in God's life-changing truth. So, I thank you in advance for coming alongside me in this battle!

I have been so blessed by so many of you; my prayer is that God pours the blessing back on you tenfold...or millionfold! He's the God of infinite riches! Why not ask for more?! BE BLESSED! :)
